Treatment day #11, today is February 27, 2023. We got two doses of good news today. Hopefully based on today's news, the speed bumps with mom's blood pressure are in the rearview mirror. Her blood pressure was a wonderful 146/85 to start off the good news of the day! Then the blood work results came back and her kidney functions are doing great. If we can continue down this road all should be good with her treatments. She was able to have a normal drip for the IV, but the vein they found was small, so it still took awhile to complete. My only concern now, is her appetite has dropped considerably. As an example, today she only ate a boiled egg for breakfast, then a pack of peanut butter crackers for lunch, and a small serving of roasted veggies with a small piece of baked chicken for super. She says she is just not that hungry for the past few days. I told her she still needs to eat to fuel her body, so hopefully she will listen. Wednesday we will be shipping the first two bags back to GotSneakers, and will hopefully be receiving more bags to continue to fill up with more unwanted sneakers to help fund her treatments.
