Treatment day #9 and it is February 20, 2023. We thought her issues with her blood pressure were behind us, however, it seems like we have not figured it all out just yet. When mom arrived today her blood pressure was 172/78. So another slow drip treatment day. After the treatment was completed her blood pressure in the past was better, but today it had gotten worse and was 192/86. This is concerning the nurses and they have asked for us to do a complete metabolic panel blood test so they can figure out what we might need to do next with her treatments. This is all very frustrating for mom as well as for my sister and I. Right now, we don't even know if these treatments are working. Thankfully, the treatments are not making mom feel horrible. Although, over the weekend she was very tired and not feeling well at all. Even last night she wanted to go to bed shortly after 6 pm, which is very unusual for her. Most nights she likes to sit up and watch t.v. with me until at least 10 pm and then reads the Bible for awhile before calling it a night. The nurses at Anderson also want us to see her primary care physician again to look over ALL of her medications prescribed as well as over the counter, to make sure nothing is interfering with each other. We scheduled the blood work for this coming Friday and plan to do a walk in appointment with her doctor that day as well. I am also hoping to schedule a Myer's cocktail treatment for her Friday which should help with her energy levels. I do pray that we figure this out soon. Thank you all for your continued prayers and following her journey. God bless.
