Hide and Seek

Today Is March 27, 2023 and we have completed treatments 18 and 19. This past Tuesday after treatment 17, mom awoke with tons of energy and felt better than she has felt in quite a while. She decided to use this energy to do some cleaning that she had been putting off for a while. When I came over she told me of all the things she had done that day. She washed some clothes, sweep and vacuumed the floor and did some reorganizing of the kitchen and closets. I was happy that she was feeling better, but told her to not overdo things. Wednesday's treatment went well. Her blood pressure was great and only small issue with her veins. Today's treatment, however, did not go as well. Her blood pressure was fine, but her veins did not want to cooperate at all. To be honest I lost count on how many times they had to poke her. I am tired of her veins playing hide and seek. It took over an hour just getting the IV set up. At one point I was thinking we weren't going to be able to do the treatment. The nurses said they were going to give it one more try and thank the LORD, it was successful! It was on the top of her hand so she had to keep her hand in a certain position or it would stop the flow of the IV. It made for a difficult treatment day. But in the end at least we were able to get it done. She had a bad headache when we got home and the place where the IV location was burning. The burning sensation is new. She said she has not experienced that before. As I came home tonight, she said she is feeling better and the headache is gone. Please pray that these veins cooperate with us for these treatments.
