Another day same issues...

Here we are, today is February 1, 2023. This is her 4th day of treatment. Pop had other plans for today so my son Ethan, being off of work, took mom to her appointment. Again, her blood pressure is high. We thought having her take her fluid pill this morning as normal, instead of skipping it, would have solved the problem. It did not. Her blood pressure was 170/99. Instead of reducing back down to the 25,000mg, like they originally said they might do if the blood pressure was still high, they just slowed down the drip even more. As we really don't want to reduce her dosage. Although, if her blood pressure is still high next week, we will be forced to reduce the dosage back to 25,000mg until we get it leveled back down. They did suggest that she schedule an appointment with her primary care physician, as it may just be the medicine needs to be adjusted that she has been taking for several years. They asked her to check her blood pressure twice a day every day for awhile to see if it is just high in general versus due to the extra fluids from the treatments. Prayers that we figure this out soon as I don't want her to be reduced in dosage or reduce in the amount of treatments per week. We want to ATTACK this cancer as strongly as we can. She is keeping good spirits throughout all of this, however. Her trust in the Lord is helping cope with everything that we are going through. After her treatment today, they did recheck her blood pressure and it had gone down a bit. They feel that there is no need to check her kidney functions since the pressure did go down after the treatment. That is the first good news so far. Please keep us in your prayers and hope that next week's treatments go well. God bless.
