A bump in the road...

Here we are on day 3 of the treatment. It is January 30, 2023. Mom's appointment was at 12pm today. I am working so Pop was her faithful ride today. When she arrived to her appointment they checked her blood pressure before they started. This is normal as the increased fluids can cause your blood pressure to increase. Again it is elevated. This is a concern for them as each appointment her blood pressure has been elevated. Today, they still increased to the 50,000mg with a slow drip as originally planned. If on Wednesday her blood pressure is still high, they will reduce it back to the 25,000mg dose. This is not what we were hoping for. The dosage needs to continue to increase to get her to the level that is most effective to fighting the cancer. Right now everything is dependent on her blood pressure on Wednesday to see what the next steps might need to be. However, they are suggesting that if her blood pressure does not level out we may need to have her kidneys checked to see if there are any issues causing the kidneys not to process the fluid properly. Of course, will have to cross that bridge when we get there. Hopefully, come Wednesday her blood pressure will be good. She did tell them that she does take a fluid pill on a regular basis except for days that she needs to be at of the home a lot, as she has to frequent the restroom very often when she takes those pills. So the issue may just be with her taking the pill regardless without skipping those days. Only time will tell. Please continue to pray that we can figure this out and that we can continue with her treatments as originally scheduled. God bless.
